In Andean tradition, people turn to an energy cleansing — in Quechua communities often called a "limpia" — when they feel heavy, tired or stuck, or before an important new beginning. It is one of the most traditional ceremonies in Cusco.
During the ceremony your guide works with elements of the Andes, such as plants, flowers and aromatic smoke, while inviting you to breathe, set an intention and let go of what you no longer want to carry.
Many travelers choose it at the start of their trip to Machu Picchu or the Sacred Valley, as a way to arrive with a clear mind. Your guide explains each step before starting, so you can simply relax and take part.
