What is the Inca massage?
The Inca massage is a therapeutic massage inspired by the healing traditions of the Andes. In Quechua, the language of the Incas, massage is known as qhaqoy: a practice that combined manual techniques, warmth and medicinal plants to restore balance between body and mind.
At Kalma Spa Cusco we combine long, enveloping strokes with pressure, kneading and friction on the areas with the most tension, warm volcanic stones placed along the back, and herbal oils of muña, coca and eucalyptus. The aromas of these Andean plants add a gentle aromatherapy effect to the treatment.
It is our signature treatment and the massage our guests mention most in their reviews.
